The Penny Hoarder Names Publishing Executive Sharon J. Prill as Chief Operating Officer, Adds Journalism Veteran Molly Moorhead to Editorial Lineup
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (April 1, 2019) The Penny Hoarder today announced the appointment of Sharon J. Prill as Chief Operating Officer. Prill will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and will report directly to the CEO, Kyle Taylor.

Prill joined the company in September 2018 as its first Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy. Prior to The Penny Hoarder, Prill was Chief Operating Officer at VitalWare, a healthcare revenue cycle SaaS solutions provider. A former group publisher and head of digital operations, Prill has over 18 years of product, media, sales and marketing leadership experience. Prill worked at several leading media companies, including The Seattle Times, Journal Communications and McClatchy Company.

Molly Moorhead, Editor
Molly Moorhead, a veteran journalist, joins the company as senior editor and team lead. A St. Petersburg native and graduate of the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, Moorhead most recently was a Tampa Bay Times editorial board member where she helped shape the institutional voice of the publication. She was an editor and reporter for the Tampa Bay Times for 16 years. Moorhead served on the national staff of PolitiFact.com, covering political claims from Washington, D.C. and the 2012 presidential election. She won first place in editorial writing in the Green Eyeshade Awards and third place in Florida Society of Newspaper Editors.
