Getting Married? Chewy is Giving 10 Couples $1,000 in eGift Cards
Planning a wedding is expensive, and so is being a pet owner. Chewy is doing its part to help pet owners with its “petposal” contest, where 10 lucky couples can win $1,000 each in Chewy eGift Cards.
The contest is for engaged couples whose pet was featured in the proposal. And if you’re popping the question this Valentine’s Day and include your furry friend in the big moment, you also could win money to spend at Chewy.com. The pet supplies company is giving 10 winners $1,000 each in Chewy eGift Cards and 100 more couples “a special surprise gift.”
It would be a welcome gift for pet owners planning a wedding. A study done by The Knot showed the average wedding and reception cost $30,000 in 2022. On top of that, the ASPCA estimates the annual cost of owning one cat or dog to be $1,149 and $1,391 respectively — and many have more than one pet.
And if you haven’t set a date yet, here’s your motivation. The contest is for couples getting married in 2024 or 2025.
How to Enter the Giveaway
You’ve proposed with your pet’s help, now what?
To enter the petposal contest, post a photo or video of your pet-assisted proposal to Facebook, Instagram or TikTok with the hashtag #ChewyPetposals. You’ll also need to tag the company with @Chewy and follow its account. Already engaged? No problem. The submissions can also include engagement photos.
Have more than one social media? Only one entry is allowed per person. Make sure you only enter the #ChewyPetposals giveaway on one platform and with one single post. The other entries won’t count. You and your partner can both enter the contest on your separate social media accounts, but not if you share the same social media account or email address.
Participants have until March 31, 2024, to submit their post.
Winners will be selected through a random drawing and notified about two weeks after the conclusion of the entry period.
If you want to include your pet in the big event but you’re not sure how, the contest is open to pretty much any “petposal.” This includes if it was planned, like having your pet deliver the ring, or it was an accidental photobomb.
