Translate Tech Talk Into Plain English With This Remote GitLab Writing Job
You speak tech.
Maybe you’re not fluent in tech, but if you traveled to the country of Technobia, you could order a latte and get directions to the hotel.
GitLab, an online Git management system, is hiring a technical writer who can translate tech speak into easy-to-understand English. You’ll work with engineers to write web content, tutorials and software documentation.
The job posting says the company is looking for a highly organized writer with technical proficiencies to create and edit content that is correct and complete.
The remote company states on its website that employees can work anywhere in the world except for the following countries: Brazil, Crimea, Cuba, France, Iran, North Korea, Portugal, Sudan, Sweden and Syria.
Benefits vary by country, but in the United States, employees are eligible for group medical coverage, the company’s retirement plan and other benefits.
The hiring process for this full-time job begins with a 30-minute screening call and includes at least four additional interviews.
If you aren’t ready to commit to a full-time job, you can also pitch your freelance technical article ideas to GitLab’s Community Writers Program here.
