What could be better than ice cream?

Free ice cream!

Monday, April 3, is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s locations around the world. There are more than 200 Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops in the U.S. alone where you can get a free ice cream cone.

If you’re hankering for a free scoop of flavors like Cherry Garcia, Chunky Monkey, Half Baked or Phish Food, head to the Ben & Jerry’s location nearest you between noon and 8 p.m. Monday.

This is Ben & Jerry’s 45th annual Free Cone Day. Because it’s such a popular event, it’s smart to get there early and expect to wait in line.

Ice cream lovers have been lining up on Free Cone Day since it started in 1979 at Ben & Jerry’s first location, a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont. Since then, it has evolved into a worldwide celebration where Ben & Jerry’s gives away a million ice cream cones to thank their fans.

“We love you too, and Free Cone Day is our favorite way to show it!” the ice cream chain said.

Not a Chunky Monkey fan? Since Ben & Jerry’s rolls out new ice cream flavors each year, there are always other options, like Butterscotch’d, or Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk, or Churray for Churros.

The important thing is, on Monday they’re all free.
