April 2025 Class Action Settlements Involve Apple, Walgreens and Beyond Meat
Ten class action settlements are accepting claims in April, allowing consumers to recover compensation for false advertising, data breach damages and more.
$3.25M USAA data breach class action settlement
USAA agreed to a $3.25 million settlement to resolve allegations that its failure to protect consumer information led to a 2021 data breach.
The settlement benefits individuals whose personal information was accessed, stolen or compromised as a result of the USAA data breach on or around May 6, 2021.
Plaintiffs in the data breach class action lawsuit claim that USAA should have taken reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect consumer information. As a result of the company’s failure to do so, consumers allegedly suffered an increased risk of fraud and identity theft.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 7, 2025.

$995K Everything Breaks class action settlement
Everything Breaks agreed to pay $995,000 to resolve claims that its unsolicited telemarketing calls violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
The settlement benefits consumers who received two or more robocalls from Everything Breaks within a 12-month period despite their number being on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 31 days.
According to the TCPA class action lawsuit, Everything Breaks repeatedly called consumers with telemarketing calls without their consent. These calls allegedly violated the TCPA, which requires businesses to get express written consent before placing robocalls.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 9, 2025.
$20M Apple Watch battery swell class action settlement
Apple agreed to a $20 million settlement to resolve class action lawsuit allegations that Apple Watch batteries are defective and prone to battery swelling issues.
The settlement benefits owners of first-generation, Series 1, Series 2 or Series 3 Apple Watch products who reported battery-swelling issues between April 24, 2015, and Feb. 6, 2024.
The class action lawsuit claims that certain Apple Watch models were manufactured without enough space to compensate for battery swelling. According to the plaintiffs, the battery swelling can damage watch components and lead to costly repairs.
No claim form is required to receive settlement benefits.
$19.5M Wells Fargo call recording class action settlement
Wells Fargo agreed to pay $19.5 million to resolve claims that it recorded consumer calls without consent in violation of California privacy laws.
The settlement benefits individuals and businesses in California who received a phone call from The Credit Wholesale Co. Inc. between Oct. 22, 2014, and Nov. 17, 2023.
According to the class action lawsuit, Wells Fargo recorded calls to California businesses without informing them that the calls were being recorded. These calls allegedly violated the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), which requires all parties to consent to call recording.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 11, 2025.
$7.5M Beyond Meat false advertising class action settlement
Beyond Meat agreed to a $7.5 million settlement to resolve allegations that it falsely advertised its products as containing more protein and being of higher quality than was accurate.
The settlement includes consumers who purchased certain Beyond Meat products between May 31, 2018, and Aug. 14, 2024.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim that Beyond Meat products were advertised with inflated protein servings and exaggerated ingredient quality claims. This false advertising allegedly caused consumers to purchase and pay more than they otherwise would have.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 14, 2025.
$2.5M UnitedHealthcare TCPA class action settlement
UnitedHealthcare agreed to pay $2.5 million to resolve claims that its unsolicited robocalls to members violated the TCPA.
The settlement benefits individuals who received a non-emergency telephone call from UnitedHealthcare between Jan. 9, 2015, and Jan. 9, 2019, who were not UnitedHealthcare members or third parties authorized to receive calls on behalf of members.
According to the class action lawsuit, UnitedHealthcare failed to obtain consumer consent before placing robocalls. The plaintiffs claim the recipients should never have received the calls, as they were neither UnitedHealthcare members nor authorized parties for the members.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 15, 2025.
$100M Walgreens Prescription Savings Club class action settlement
Walgreens agreed to a $100 million settlement to resolve claims that it charged insurance companies more for prescription drugs than it should have under its Prescription Savings Club.
The settlement benefits consumers and entities who paid for one or more prescription drugs from Walgreens between Jan. 1, 2007, and Nov. 18, 2024, and used prescription insurance benefits to fill the prescription.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim that Walgreens inflated its prescription drug prices and failed to consider price savings from its Prescription Savings Club. The price inflation allegedly allowed Walgreens to collect more than it should have in reimbursement.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 17, 2025.
$700k Stanley Steemer data breach class action settlement
Stanley Steemer agreed to pay $700,000 to resolve claims that it failed to protect consumers and employees from a 2023 data breach.
The settlement benefits individuals who received a data breach notification letter from Stanley Steemer informing them that their personal information was compromised in a data breach in February 2023.
The Stanley Steemer data breach allegedly compromised sensitive customer and employee information, including Social Security numbers. Plaintiffs claim that Stanley Steemer should have done more to protect consumer and employee data from the breach.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 28, 2025.
$19M Fisher-Price Rock N’ Play class action settlement
Fisher-Price agreed to a $19 million settlement to resolve class action lawsuit allegations that its Rock N’ Play sleepers are unsafe for infants.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased, were gifted or possess a Fisher-Price Rock N’ Play Sleeper.
According to the class action lawsuit, Fisher-Price recalled 4.7 million Rock N’ Play sleeper products in 2019. The sleepers were allegedly unsafe for children and linked to cases of infant injury or death.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 29, 2025.
$600K Horizon treadmill horsepower class action settlement
Horizon agreed to pay $600,000 to resolve claims that it falsely advertised its treadmills with inflated horsepower ratings.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased Horizon treadmills between June 9, 2018, and Nov. 9, 2020.
According to the class action lawsuit, Horizon intentionally misled consumers by misrepresenting the continuous horsepower of its treadmills. The company allegedly promised CHP of 3 or 4, when the products only had 2.5 or 3 CHP.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is April 30, 2025.
