Get Paid to Solve Others’ Problems

Can you help a mom get her 2 year old to eat three meals a day? She’ll pay you $25 for your tips.

Can you help a chef come up with a new chocolate dessert? She’ll pay you $25 for your recipe.

Being paid to solve problems is the idea behind a new website called Prizes.org. Users submit their problems, assign a prize amount, and then watch as others compete to come up with best answer. The website is fairly new, but there are already hundreds of problems being posted with rewards up to $500.

I like this site because of the range of problems posted. There are questions about business, parenting, fitness and there’s even a few relationship problems posted. Some of the questions remind me a little bit of those “Dear Abby” letters in the newspaper, with one questioner even asking for advice on whether she should leave her husband or not! And just in case you’re interested, that one pays $50.

If you think you’re up for the challenge of solving others’ problems, here’s how you can get started…

1. You’ll want to first sign up for a free Prizes.org account in order to start answering questions. (Name, email address, etc.)

2. Search through the categories on the left-hand side to narrow the questions to topics you’d like to answer. You only to have to answer the problems you feel confident in.

Some of my favorites I found this morning include a woman wanting to know the best toy to give to her 4 year old nephew for his birthday (link), an owner of a small corner store who needs ideas to increase his sales (link), and a film student who needs an idea for a movie (link).

3. Once the contest is over, the questioner will choose a winner. The questioner pays for the prize amount in advanced, so its guaranteed that someone will get paid. The prizes are paid out via Paypal and the minimum payout is only $5.
