Small travel expenses are among the easiest to forget when you’re planning your holiday budget.

After flights and hotels are booked, costs that seem small — meals, cab rides or bus tickets — can sneak up on you and challenge your budget.

For example, I hate paying an extra fee for Wifi at hotels. If the hotel doesn’t offer free Wifi, you’re stuck with that added, sometimes unexpected, expense.

Thankfully, you can plan ahead. Million Mile Secrets has put together this handy list of hotels that offer free Wi-fi.

6 Hotel Chains That Offer Free Wifi for All Guests

Many chains offer free Wifi to all guests with no additional requirements. For instance, you can get free Internet at most Best Western, Hyatt, Loews and Wyndham hotels.

Here are the full details:

1. Accor Hotels

Free Wifi is available to all guests at Ibis, Ibis Budget, Ibis Styles and Novotel. Elite members get free Wifi at Mercure, Pullman and Sofitel.

2. Best Western

All guests at Best Western hotels in Canada, Caribbean and the U.S. and most international hotels get free Wifi.

3. Hilton

Free Wifi is available at Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites. Hilton Diamond members get free Premium Wifi.

4. Hyatt

Free Wifi is available for all guests at Andaz, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt, Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Zilara, Hyatt Ziva and Park Hyatt.

If you’re a Hyatt Platinum or Diamond member, you can get free premium Wifi.

5. Loews Hotels

Wifi is free for all guests.

6. Wyndham

All guests get free Wifi at these Wyndham Family hotels: Baymont Inn & Suites, Days Inn, Hawthorn Suites, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Microtel, Ramada (some countries), Super 8, Travelodge (some countries), Tryp Hotels, Wingate, Wyndham, Wyndham Garden Hotels and Wyndham Grand Hotels & Resorts.

Free Wifi for Loyalty Program Members

Some hotels require you to join their loyalty program to get any (not just premium) free Wifi. Otherwise, you’ll pay for it. Among them are Choice, Club Carlson, IHG and others.

Other chains, like Hilton and Marriott, require you join their loyalty program and also book your stay directly with them. You won’t get the perk if you book through a third-party site like Expedia, so consider the cost of Wifi against the savings through a third-party site.
